Oreo Shortbread Slices

Oreo Shortbread Slices

These shortbreads are stuffed with Oreo chocolate, milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips, with a layer of Oreo bites and topped with milk chocolate and oreos.

I make 12 slices with this recipe. you can make your slices however large you want with an 8-9 inch tin!

Ingredients:

For the Shortbread:

  • 375g plain flour
  • 110g granulated sugar
  • 260g salted butter
  • 100g milk chocolate chips
  • 100g dark chocolate chips
  • 120g cadburys Oreo chocolate
  • 110g cadburys Oreo bites

For the topping:

  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 25 oreos
Method:
  1. Preheat your oven to 180C and line and grease a 8.5-9 inch square tin
  2. Make the shortbread: Combine flour, sugar and butter into a smooth dough then mix in milk chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips and squares of Oreo chocolate. Spread the mixture into your tin, making sure it is spread out evenly. Prick with a fork. Push your Oreo bites into the top of the shortbread.
  3. Bake: Bake the shortbread for 20-25 minutes until golden. Melt your milk chocolate and pour it evenly over the top, spreading to the edges. Push in your oreos neatly into the top. Let the shortbreads set in the fridge before cutting into slices. Enjoy!

Tips: I like to store my shortbread in the refrigerator, and eat these at room temperature. If refrigerated, these bakes taste best when consumed within 5 days. They can also be frozen :).
