Cookie Dough Bites

Cookie Dough Bites

We all know that making cookies is incredibly difficult…. because you just want to eat the dough! These cookie dough bites are the perfect way to enjoy a little cookie dough snack, using my signature brown butter cookie dough stuffed with milk chocolate chips

I make 80 balls (10 servings) with this recipe, you can make your balls and servings however large you want!

Ingredients

  • 140g plain flour
  • 100g salted butter
  • 80g dark brown soft sugar
  • 95g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 400g milk chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Start by browning your butter- cut into small cubes and add to a medium sized saucepan. On a medium heat, keep stirring the butter. It will go through several stages. First, it will melt. Then it will start to boil and bubble violently, before it will become quiet and the bubbles will become thick and foamy. Pay very close attention at this point as the butter will soon start to turn brown and smell caramelised. Take your butter off the heat and let cool a little.
  2. Combine your butter, sugars, egg, milk and vanilla, beating well as you add each ingredient. Heat treat your flour to kill off bacteria by microwaving for 30s. Add your flour to your wet ingredients and gently fold in. Add the milk chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed through the batter.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  4.  Separate your dough into little balls and place in bags if you’d like! Enjoy :)

Tips: I like to store my cookie dough in the refrigerator and then take it out before I eat them! If refrigerated, these bare taste best when consumed within 5 days. They can also be frozen :).
